”Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease are still in their infancy in terms of how we care for those with this illness. Utilising my background in healthcare and my in-depth understanding of the most up-to-date research in this field, with a particular focus on elderly care presenting with dementia, I was asked to advise on the development of signage to better assist those with this illness and their care provider.Throughout my years of training and research into this condition, it was clear that long term memory was the one remaining constant for the dementia patient.

In addition to this, bright colours have been cited as the last to leave a patients memory. Working on this premise, I was able to advise in the development of their signage and support them in producing a product that was fit for purpose. I am extremely proud of the signage and additional products that have been produced and I believe that they will greatly reduce the depression, confusion and stress associated with dementia by providing carer’s with clean, bright and custom made signs that focus on supporting their patients care.”
