Recogneyes Dementia Signs Help Care Home win Top Award

Recogneyes is thrilled to be part of the recent success of Scotland’s first care home to win the Highly Commended award from the Dementia Services Development Centre at Stirling University.

The 3 Bridges Care home in Glasgow underwent a full Dementia design audit from experts at one of the UK’s leading Dementia research facilities and became the first care home to be given a Highly Commended award.

The home installed Recogneyes Dementia signs and information boards throughout the care home to provide clear navigation, as well as custom nostalgic signs featuring the names of well known places in Glasgow around the outdoor areas to create a sense of familiarity.

In addition to dementia signage the care home has included an extensive of features such as vegetable gardens with raised beds, supervised kitchens and laundry drying areas to allow residents greater freedom to carry out familiar activities.

The home, owned by the Northcare group, is a shining example of how excellent care environments can be achieved for people living with Dementia.
